Across Prague, yoga studios have been mushrooming in recent years. While the traditional Indian discipline was frowned upon in Czechoslovakia by the former regime — and thus only practiced in private — a search on the local language version of Google gives an indication of the extent to which Czechs have embraced the practice from the Far East: the terms “jóga, praha” currently yield 38,300 results.
