White rhino dies in Czech zoo, seven left worldwide

One of the world’s last known northern white rhinoceroses died in the Dvůr Králové Zoo in Northern Bohemia. Nesari, a female, was 39 years old. The death leaves the zoo with only one northern white rhino, a female named Nabire. Northern white rhinos are feared to be extinct in the wild, and the death reduced the known population to seven.
