Degenerate art: Dreams and Nightmares

Despite having their work confiscated and destroyed, being banned from exhibiting or working, being forced to flee and being imprisoned — a number of Central European artists from the totalitarian eras of the last century took a stand against the opposition within their lives and through their art. Currently running at Prague’s Montanelli Museum, “Dreams and Nightmares” is on loan from Germany’s Museum of Persecuted Arts in Solingen.
