Czech ‘ultimatum’ to US for cheap F-16s (or missile project) revealed in WikiLeaks’ Stratfor file

An exchange of confidential emails between analysts and an undercover intelligence officer working for the US  global security think tank Stratfor — issued today by WikiLeaks — signal that the Czechs planned to issue an “ultimatum” to Washington demanding a better deal on F-16 fighter jets for itself and other CEE members of NATO. Otherwise, Prague wants a significant role in the US anti-missile defense project, to counter the Russian “threat.”

Czechs won’t host AMD early warning center

Following talks with US Deputy Secretary of Defense William Lynn in Prague on Wednesday, Czech Defense Minister Alexandr Vondra told a press conference that a data analysis center for the early warning system of the planned anti-missile defense shield (AMD) in Europe will not be located in the Czech Republic.
