Hani Himmat became the new chairman of the board of directors of Axa investiční společnost and chief investment officer of insurance group Axa in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He takes over from Kamila Horáčková, who became head of asset management at AXA Winterthur in Switzerland.
“My main objective will be to continue the great long-term work Kamila Horáčková, who I wish every success in her new position in Switzerland,” Himmat said in a press release.
Prior to her work at Axa, Horáčková held positions in Winterthur Insurance, Credit Suisse and Citicorp. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has an MBA from the University of Rochester, New York. She became chairwoman of the board of directors of Axa investiční společnost in 2007.
Himmat is a graduate of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University in Prague and also studied at CERGE-EI. He previously served as director of asset management at Axa investiční společnost and as senior portfolio manager in the Slovak branch of Winterthur. He has worked in portfolio management since 1998 and began his career at Expandia Finance and Credit Suisse Asset Management.
