Prague 5 has appealed to the director of an elementary school in the district to step down and in the meantime filed a criminal complaint against him for having performed in erotic films years ago with girls who councilors say they fear might have been underage.

“We want law enforcement authorities to examine this through criminal proceedings,” Prague 5 councilor Naděžda Kratochvílová (TOP 09) told the Czech state news agency ČTK.

The director of the Tyršova elementary school, Igor Krupka, 53, has denied any wrongdoing and said he is the victim of a “cyber bullying” campaign. None of the women in photo stills from the films — though in many cases dressed as schoolgirls — appear to be under the age of 18. Nor are they depicted engaging in any graphic sexual activity.

“These attacks against me are confirmation that human malice has no limits. Everything that a man does with good intentions can, even years later, can be used against him,” Krupka said in a statement dated June 9 posted on the school’s website — the same day the Czech tabloid daily Aha! posted the photo stills of him in character. He had earlier denied having appeared in erotic films.

Krupka allegedly appeared in at least five films from 2004 to 2007 using the stage name Lars Moebius, playing characters like Professor Otokar Haloun who have a taste for inflicting corporal punishment on young women. Titles include “My Unfair Lady” and “Teacher’s Exam Meeting (lessons were never so brutal)”; the period “spanking” films were set in Prague when the Czech lands were part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. ‘I only have the strength to concentrate on my duties at the moment given the knowledge that I haven’t done anything bad and didn’t harm anyone.’

District councilor Michael Šesták (Social Democrats, ČSSD) said City Hall had received an anonymous tip in late May about Krupka’s past as a porn actor — or rather as an actor in what appear to be at most softcore erotic films with a mild sadomasochistic theme, which probably would not warrant an “X” rating.

“I only have the strength to concentrate on my duties at the moment given the knowledge that I haven’t done anything bad and didn’t harm anyone,” said Krupka in the statement, stressing that his work at the Tyršova elementary school had not been called in to question and that he had “the faith of those close to me.”

Even if the films had been hardcore porn, his having acted in them before taking up his post as elementary school director would not have provided legal grounds for his dismisal, Czech media reported.
