Murder sentence of 16 years on US ‘tram shooter’ is confirmed at Czech appeal court

The 16 year sentence for murder of a 34-old Czech was confirmed for US citizen Gilbert Ferguson McCrae at a Prague appeal court on Wednesday. His defence contested the verdict with the prosecution calling for an even stiffer sentence of 18 years. McCrae's lawyer said he will likely appeal to the Supreme Court.
