Four children murdered in east Bohemia village

Shortly after noon on Friday, police in the town of Polička summoned the ambulance service to the nearby village Široký Důl, near Svitavy in eastern Bohemia, after a man appeared at their station and reported that his partner was injured and a child was unconscious and lying in a pool of blood at their home. Upon arrival at the scene the medics found four murdered children and their mother with knife wounds in what appears to be the worst case of multiple infanticide in recent Czech history.
