Out of form former World Championship downhill slalom ski medal gold medalist, Czech Šárka Záhrobskáhas selected Austrian help  to help get her back on track.

The 27-year-old has appointed Austrian Klaus Mayrhofer as her trainer and fellow Austrian Jϋrgen Kreichbaum as her mentor following a disastrous last World Cup season and decision not to renew her contract with previous trainer Pavel Št’astý.

Mayrhofer was from 2009-2012 the ski and physical condition coach for the Austrian ski team. He has signed a two year contract with the Czech World Championship gold medal winner in the 2006-2007 season and Olympic bronze medal winner at Vancouver, Canada, in 2010. She has also won silver and bronze World Championship medals.

As well as changing her team, the Czech skier has also dropped her long time contract with the Head ski equipment company for the Fischer mark.

Last year was Záhrobská’s worst season over the last decade with a best placed 13th in World Cup competitions.
