The Czech Human Rights Commissioner is calling on the Education Minister to withdraw the current edition of the second-year primary school children textbook Čítanka due to the inclusion of a story in which a mother explains to her daughter all about “dirty thieving Gypsies,” Mláda fronta Dnes reported Tuesday. The author, however, clearly aimed to spread a message of tolerance.
