Personal privacy violations are the latest ethical scandal to hit the Education Ministry

A new scandal is erupting for Education Minister Josef Dobeš: His subordinates apparently illegally read ministry employees’ e-mails. Furthermore, it seems Dobeš and his spokesman both wrote school essays for adviser Jana Machálková, the student whose Kč 145,000 “starting” salary Dobeš first denied and is now at pains to justify. It gets worse, with reports that ultra-nationalist politician Ladislav Bátora is in line for a top ministry post, much to the annoyance of advocates for the Roma minority.
