A trial date for Public Affairs' (VV) de facto head Vít Bárta has been set for what promises to be to the most-closely followed courtroom battles in recent years. Bárta, who first entered parliament in the summer of 2010 pledging to challenge the “political dinosaurs” and fight corruption, is to face charges of offering cash bribes. Former party colleague Jaroslav Škárka, who reported Bárta to the police, will stand accused of accepting a bribe.
