Czech manufacturing confidence slides in January, PMI poll says

Manufacturing confidence dipped in January for a third month in a row, according to a poll of purchasing managers

Czech manufacturing confidence slid again in January in spite of higher output from companies. Firms were apparently eating into their backlog of orders with decreasing new demand on the horizon. Companies also pushed through major lay-offs with redundancies at their highest level since the end of 2009.
