“How the Ogres Died Out in the Mountains” involved a film crew looking for evidence that Ogres ever existed in the Šumava area

The demand for feature-length 3D animation has given rise to the first Czech entry, based on three of Jan Werich’s classic tales. The third entry in the Fimfárum series, “Fimfárum — Third Time Lucky 3D” was four years in the making and had a budget of Kč 30 million. Three more tales make it to the screen this time via the help of 70 puppets and as in the previous entries, Werich himself makes an appearance through archival recordings of his voice.
