Maxim Behar's firm in Bulgaria was named ‘best consultancy in Eastern Europe’

Maxim Behar, a prominent Bulgarian PR and social media specialist has been named chairman of Hill+Knowlton Strategies’ Czech office. He will remain CEO and board chairman of the Bulgarian company he founded, M3 Communications Group, Inc., which is an affiliate of Hill+Knowlton Strategies.

Behar got his doctorate from the University of Economics (VŠE) in Prague, has extensive knowledge of Czech media and experience working as a journalist in Poland, Russia, Germany and the United States. His company M3 Communications Group, Inc., founded in 1994, was named “Best Consultancy in Eastern Europe” by The Holmes Report last year, as well as “Best PR Agency in Europe” by The Stevie Awards and “Agency of the Year” by the Bulgarian PR Society.

“We are convinced that the knowledge and expertise Maxim will bring will be very beneficial to our Czech clients and the operation,” said Lars Erik Gronntun, European President of Hill+Knowlton Strategies, in a press release.

“His knowledge of the Czech market will strengthen our position in the market place, and his appointment demonstrates our investment in having highly experienced and well-recognized leaders,” Gronntun said.

Behar is an ICCO Treasurer and Executive Board member, two-term President and currently Deputy President of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum, in addition to being President of the Bulgarian Association of PR Agencies (2009-2011). He is also Honorary Consul of Republic of Seychelles to Bulgaria.
