A scenario for climate change over the next century in the Czech Republic put together by top sicentists points to hot dry summers with droughts possible every two years and snow surviving throughout the winter only in the highest mountains by the end of the period. Longer growing seasons for farmers would be accompanied by the increased risks that sudden frosts could wipe out crops.
