ArcelorMittal is seeking hundreds of voluntary job losses as the European sector faces a bleak outlook

ArcelorMittal Ostrava, the biggest steelmaker in the Czech Republic, says past overproduction and lower European demand for steel is forcing it to cut the workforce. Redundancy packages have been offered to hundreds of workers, Czech media reporting a target of 600,  with company managers saying that productivity must be improved.
